
Job Title: Cyber Package Technical Expert
Location: Rosslyn, VA
Activities: Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program.
Serve as lead to a small team of cybersecurity members who are developing Authority to Operate and Authority to Connect (ATO/ ATC) packages. Acting as a cybersecurity expert in providing guidance in the modification and review of existing ATO documentation and proactively providing insights into the documentation packets for ATOs and ATC for interagency (VA-DoD) systems and hardware.
Basic qualifications:
- Minimum of years 5 of experience. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
- Experience defining and creating architectural depictions and documents, ensuring logical flow, and addressing all issues
- Experience with a variety of software programs and languages and some programming
- Ability to design and discuss system strategies for platform, applications and networks
- Knowledge of VA and DoD cybersecurity policies and ATO/ATC processes
- Ability to generate security documentation to support ATO/ATC
- Experience creating and reviewing of SSPs, Hardware/software inventory lists, Interface Control Documents, and other components of security
- Experience dealing with risk management as it relates to systems with emphasis on security controls and POAMs
- Strong written skills and experience working in a team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or technical discipline
