Job Title: Risk Manager

Location: 811 Vermont Washington, DC

Activities: Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an Executive Support Chief of Staff to complete a broad variety of administrative tasks for leadership, including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments, composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential, coordinating data calls, and conducting other front office ad-hoc support. Work at the senior level, including coordinating complex program elements to support the client. Develop program-level products to ensure successful implementation and presentation to the key stakeholders. Coordinate and work across pillar leads to de-conflict risks and solve complex issues. Provide senior level schedule, dashboard, and reporting support, including integration with multiple divergent external data sources and track actions to closure.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • Experience with managing IT projects
  • Experience with life cycle and project management methodologies
  • Experience with tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline or an additional 8 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA
  • Experience with implementing EHRs
